Shells are the game’s character-class system: each possessed warrior changes your abilities and combat priorities while still sharing the wider weapon pool. ^[wiki]

Choose by active ability and defensive rhythm first, stats second. Test a Shell against ordinary enemies before spending Glimpses on bonding. If a route feels impossible, switching Shell can be more effective than repeatedly forcing the same build.
